Digital TestAS Core Module · 20 items / 25 min
Solve small systems of letter equations where every letter is a whole number from 1 to 20.
Difficulty
3 × C = A
B − 6 = C
A + B + C = 11
Each letter is a whole number from 1 to 20.
Every item here is generated on the fly by the same parametric engine the full product uses. Never memorized, never repeats the same way twice.
Each item is a small system of equations written with letters. Every letter stands for a whole number from 1 to 20 and there is exactly one solution. You work out the value of each letter yourself; there are no options to choose from, so guessing does not help.
Mathematical Equations is one of the three Core Module subtests of the digital TestAS: 20 items in 25 minutes. Easier items have two letters, harder ones three or four.
25 minutes for 20 systems is 75 seconds each. Mental arithmetic speed matters: practise substitution until you can do two-letter systems in under 40 seconds and save time for the four-letter ones.
The items are built for mental arithmetic: values stay between 1 and 20. Train without a calculator so you are fast either way.
No. testas.de notes that it is the one Core subtest where you work out the answers yourself.
School level: linear equations and substitution. The difficulty is speed and accuracy across 20 items.
This is one subtest. The full product covers every TestAS and Studienkolleg track, with a study plan and progress tracking.
