Do I need a Studienkolleg? Check your certificate

Pick the country of your most recent qualification and answer the questions. The questions and conditions come from the DAAD admission database; the checker shows the likely result for your case.

Where did you get your most recent school or university qualification?

Country not listed? Use the DAAD admission database directly.

Which qualification do you have?

None of these fits? Then the DAAD database has no standard route for your case. Ask uni-assist or the university how they assess your certificate.

How it works

The DAAD and uni-assist keep a database of how certificates from each country are assessed in Germany, based on the Standing Conference of Education Ministers' anabin data.
Your result is one of four: direct access to any subject, direct access to some subjects, a Studienkolleg first, or no access yet with this certificate alone.
The checker covers bachelor's study. For a master's, the university assesses your degree directly.
